Effective January 1, 2025. the PBM is CVS/Caremark. Please present the correct card at the pharmacy

Effective 1/1/19 OPTUMRx will replace CVS/Caremark as your Pharmacy Benefit Manager

*this applies to you if your plan includes prescription coverage*

A few things will change but your benefits and co pays will remain the same

CVS90 SAVER PLUS allows you to continue picking up 90-day supplies of maintenance medications at your CVS pharmacy. Non-maintenance medications can be picked up at any participating pharmacy.
MAIL SERVICE SAVER PLUS will give you the option to receive medications right in your mailbox
BRIOVARx will provide specialty drug services
OPTUMRx Free Diabetic Meter program

WHAT TO DO NOW

Let your doctor know your pharmacy benefit is moving to OPTUMRx
Check to see if you have refills remaining on your prescriptions
If currently using home delivery, make sure you have at least a one-month supply of medication on hand during the transition.
New ID cards will be sent out before the end of the year, keep them in a safe place.
Information about the OPTUMRx programs will be sent with your ID cards.

WHAT TO DO AS OF JAN 1, 2019

- Start using your new Benefit Cards with the OPTUMRx logo, these will replace your old cards with the CVS logo. Each family will be issued 2 ID cards, both cards will have the Member’s name on them.

If you require more than 2 member ID cards, contact OPTUMRx directly at 855 295 9140 after 1/1/19 and request an additional set of cards. Charges may apply for additional ID cards requested after 5/31/19.
Log on to www.optumrx.com and Register, you will not be able to do this until January.
You can manage your prescriptions online, check coverage and co pays, see which medications require prior authorization and much more.
